but friends call me Davey! I grew up here in beautiful North Eastern Kansas and have been shooting professionally for over 10 years. I have a pretty romantic view of the world. I'm slightly nerdy, lighthearted, positive, introspective, creative, and expresive. My all time favorite thing is being a Dad to my two amazing children. Candids of them are by far my favorite thing to photograph. I gravitate towards all the small and wondrous things in life and I seem to have an ever growing list of hobbies! I appreciate all forms of creative expression and I love learning.When I'm not doing photography or doing fun Dad stuff, I enjoy playing piano, guitar, listening to music and podcasts, activities in nature, talking aimlessly to my betta fish, concerts, friends, building legos, and collecting 80's toys! I am also a teacher's aid at an elementary school during the school year and absolutely LOVE teaching the littles and being a part of that community.Every time I get behind my camera, I do so with the intention of doing my best work yet. My photography has given me such joy and I am grateful I can create such meaningful images for people, all while scratching my itch for creativity and adventure.
